Most All of who I am is made up of experiences… the good the bad and the in-between. Of relationships, questions, faith… all of which come together in some wildly intricate way. Six and a half years ago my story brought my hubby and I 600 miles from what we knew of home…family…friends…life. 600 miles from comfort. I met Lindsey 5 years ago during a dark time in my life. I didn’t know it… she didn’t know it, but God knew that her’s was a soul that would change my life. I was thirsty to be understood… seen by a friend. Someone who could hold my hand and speak truth into my life. Someone who could see my pain through the face I gave it and tell me that it’s okay. Her friendship was needed and welcomed. She has helped me face fears and build confidences. Our friendship alone has been an interesting road with all kinds of twists and turns, and I am so utterly thankful for it!

I love this sweet Johnson family as my own. Watching Jeremy and Lindsey bring their baby girl home and raise her to be the incredibly smart, kind, witty, and gorgeous girl she is today, and seeing what amazing parents they have become, fills my heart to the brim! I am so proud to call them friends and family. I admire the mother I see in my dear friend. She is the kind that will drop everything to dance with her girl. I pray that some of her mad mothering skills rub off on me for when I finally have one of my own. 😉

This session is very special to me because the Johnsons are moving from this house in the next few weeks into a new place that they will soon call home again. They have cherished the life they’ve had here and the memories made and are anxiously waiting to see what God has in store for this next chapter!

I love you guys so much!! I can’t wait!!

PS. Linds is also a very talented and inspiring photographer!! Check her out! www.lindseyjohnsonphotography.com
